CORE RETURN POLICY
What is a Core?
When purchasing a remanufactured part, the total cost includes both the price of the part and a core charge, also known as a core deposit. This deposit is an incentive for customers to return their old, used part (core) so it can be remanufactured. If you don’t have a core at the time of purchase, you must pay the core charge upfront. However, once you return a rebuildable core, you’ll receive a refund for the deposit.
Why Core Returns Matter
Returning cores not only helps reduce costs for remanufactured parts but also plays a crucial role in environmental sustainability. By remanufacturing old components, approximately 60,000 tons of cores are kept out of landfills each year, making this process both cost-effective and eco-friendly.
Core Return Policy
- A core deposit is required with each remanufactured part purchase.
- Cores must be returned within 30 days of the original purchase to qualify for a refund.
- Returns after the 30-day period will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- Each core must be accompanied by a purchase order or invoice to ensure proper credit.
- The core must be in a rebuildable condition to be eligible for a refund.
Non-Rebuildable Core Conditions
If a core is deemed non-rebuildable, the deposit will not be fully refunded. Cores that meet any of the following conditions will not qualify for a full refund:
- Water damage
- Severe physical or external damage
- Excessive corrosion
- Burned beyond repair
- Cracked housing or broken connectors
- Rust contamination
Customers may request the return of non-rebuildable cores, but shipping costs will be at the customer’s expense.
By returning your core, you’re not just saving money—you’re also contributing to a sustainable and environmentally friendly remanufacturing process.
